I thought there must be some meaningful deeply personal movie, but I couldn't think of one, if there had been, chances are I liked the book so much better.
So I chose Toy Story.
I'm not entirely sure when I first saw this movie as it came out before I had children. I'm pretty sure it was when I was working for a home care agency as a private duty nurse for a little girl who loved this movie. We watched it over and over again. I loved how it made her laugh.
I loved it enough to make sure I was scheduled to work on opening day of part 2, because I didn't have kids and wanted to see it and felt silly going without a kid, so I took my patient. It was the day after Thanksgiving so school was closed, it was a small theater, we took a taxi one mile which cost $20 each way (ouch) but it was worth it, I loved the movie but most of all was the look of pure joy on this child's face for the entire time. I have watched the third movie three times, and only once with my kids, I still cry at the end. Of course if you haven't seen it I won't ruin it by discussing the reason why.
What's your favorite and why?
