Have a Backup plan

Today was the first day of school. Life should be back to normal but my daughter had a Doctor's appointment, My regular spinning class is still suspended until the cold weather returns, and I had a number of errands to run, conference calls, and other things to catch up on. I absolutely hate getting up and getting dressed then changing for the gym and then showering and dressing again. I much prefer to wake up, exercise, shower, dress and then go about my day, however this just wasn't going to work.
My plan A is usually the gym, but I wasn't going to have time for that. I worked out to the wii zumba DVD.
The lesson for today is don't overestimate your calorie burn.
Myfitnesspal offered me a generous 800 calories for 60 minutes of zumba, they forget there is a small gap between each song and I do not run in place, I drink some water during that gap. The wii -- which knows how much I moved, gave me 664 calories. My Polar heart rate monitor -- only 428. I so often see people collecting more than that just folding laundry or "light housework" I'm not sure where these numbers come from, but they are grossly overestimated.
