At first I was frustrated because it meant starting the C25k program over, but it wasn't so bad after all. I still felt like I had worked out, it didn't feel like going back to square one, confirming that starting over was in fact best. I went back to Zumba and loved it as usual but it's so hard to re-establish our new routine.
Once I got off the highway thought it would be a quick short trip, but I encountered a detour. I followed the signs and hit -- another detour! My GPS did not want to turn on which was frustrating but I did get that to work. This took me back to the first detour but this time instead of following signs I asked the officer for directions.
How often in life does something beyond your control slow you down, and you get back on track and find a detour, you feel lost, and then find another road-block. It happens all the time. I debated going home but I knew I was close to the store and I really needed to get there.
In our weight loss journeys, in health, we really need to get there, so forge a new path, ask for direction, but don't turn around.
I'm back on track and proud of the fact that I am. In fact when I went to renew my license today, I even told the truth about my weight, I've come a long way since I started this journey, and I'm not about to get lost and return back now.
