About Mary Bacon
Mary Bacon combines her decades of experience working as a nurse practitioner in traditional medical environments with her empowered work as a health and wellness coach and green living expert to bring balance and harmony back to women's lives. With a deep working knowledge of medications, health challenges, and environmental factors, she's a tireless advocate for her clients, working cooperatively with their doctors and their lifestyle choices to identify a comprehensive and balanced approach to wellness and well being.
One of Mary's top passions lies in working with working moms who struggle to put self care on their priority list. In co-creating a realistic plan of action and accountability with each of her clients, she helps them bring their lives back into balance so they can rediscover their unique path to harmonious health. When they experience these results, Mary's clients find their health and happiness not only sky rocket, but their relationships to self, family, friends, and the environment radically shifts as well.

As I fumble my way through loving my body and nourishing her more deeply with nutrient dense food in an effort to keep my cancer at bay, I am meeting the most beautiful people!
Yesterday I had an inspired conversation with Mary Bacon, and she reminded me that being healthier begins with love and forgiveness.
She led me through a visualization where I came face to face with myself. I was surprised that doing so made me feel a little uncomfortable! With her guidance, I was able to bring more compassion and love into the places where I have been critical, harsh and judgemental towards myself!

Shortly after starting to work with Mary I broke my ankle. Although I couldn't exercise much during the time I worked with her, it gave us time to focus on the other obstacles keeping me from losing weight. We were able to figure out a few food stumbling blocks and bring down my stress level through stress management techniques. While I don't have an amazing weightloss story from working with Mary, I can proudly say I didn't gain any weight while recovering from my injury. That is a huge feat and I can contribute it to knowing I was checking in weekly and had to be accountable for my actions throughout the week. Without that accountability I'm sure I wouldn't have tried as hard.
Mary's Story: How I became the weight loss coach for regular people
I was a "big girl" most of my life. I shopped in the "chubbies" or "huskies" section of the store. I tried every diet from Atkins to the Zone without success.
- Then I lost 100 pounds...
But it came back on.
I was embarrassed, I felt so ashamed of the fact that I--a healthcare provider-- could not manage to maintain my weight loss.
And then I discovered there is more to weight loss than "eat less and move more." I discovered the field of eating psychology. I discovered HOW to eat less, like a life-long thin person, without making every day a sacrifice and without making every meal into a math project and without making every party a personal challenge.
