Wasting less paper is a great way to help the planet and your finances. Trees are farmed for paper, but that land could go towards other uses, and paper recycling is not the most environmentally friendly recycling process. The best approach is to reduce use of paper in the home & office. By simply reducing use of paper, you reduce the need for recycling and you reduce the need to grow trees for virgin paper. Make no mistake, these tree farms use power, gas, and a lot of land that could be put to better use. Just because the trees are grown to make paper does not mean that paper is a free and renewable resource.
This months theme is to waste less gas and save more money. By wasting less gas the thing you are going to find is that you are also saving TIME as well as money.
Gasoline is a finite resource. There will come a time when we are forced to find alternative fuel sources. Right now most of us drive cars that use gas, or a hybrid, which uses much less gas. The electric cars do exist, but I have yet to see a used one for sale. They go about 60 miles on a charge. Someday I hope to own one, when things are in place. I would love to see someone start up a business where, in rest areas on the highway, I could plug in, pay for charging time, and enjoy an internet cafe experience while I wait. Until then, we need to think about how to save gas.

This month's topic for reducing waste and excess is "stuff" I probably could have done a whole year on stuff, clothing, toys, gadgets. There are so many area's where we over-do it on stuff. First we'll start with why it matters.
So having too much stuff will end up costing you money and mental energy.
